Chilean conductor and clarinetist Francisco Brunner, age 25, has already worked with Ensemble Modern, San Petersburg Symphony Orchestra, Orquestra Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, Moravian Philharmonic and the National Symphony Orchestra of Chile. A disciple of Alain Damiens, Ensemble Intercontemporain, on clarinet, and of Ennio Nicotra, pupil of legendary professor Ilya Musin, on orchestral conducting. Francisco studied at Interlochen Arts Academy, Indiana University Bloomington, Institute for European Studies Vienna, Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and La Schola Cantorum de Paris. He has worked with maestros such as Marin Alsop, Alexander Polyanichko and Lior Shambadal. Fluent on English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. He has played and conducted in Berlin, London, Milan, Moscow, New York, Paris, Prague, Rome, Santiago, São Paulo, Saint-Petersburg and Vienna. Prizewinner of London Soloists Conducting Competition 2016 and Saverio Mercadante International Clarinet Competition 2013.
